tuesday. i'm busy today, but i don't want to be. it's one of those rare days when i have lots i can do, but i am just not feeling super motivated to do any of it. i guess it will happen, i have this afternoon. i was busy this morning doing lots of things, i just think i did the stuff this morning that i was looking forward to and now i have the least exciting things for this afternoon.
I need to:
transform my plasmid into DH10
ship abs to Prague, China, and somewhere in the states (boring!)
clean the incubator (we had a contamination. poo.)
i also need more antibiotic, that could be fun to make and aliquot.
figure out my schedule for the next month. i know i need to take a few days off (i want to even), but i don't want to figure out what days. blah.
so....anyway. life is going ok for us right now. f has her first final tomorrow and she is sick of studying. she can't seem to figure out what else she can study. she has done all the practice tests and she has her outline done...what else can she do? i told her to go through the outline and reference it to important places in the books, i don't know what that would do for her other than just be to go over things again. oh well. she'll do just fine tomorrow, i know it!
other than dealing with finals we aren't really doing anything. i come home from work and i help f study/organize and then we go to bed. maybe watch a little tv in there too. i guess we have a fairly boring life. macy is our fun and joy right now. he's such the best little guy ever. he has started sleeping outside of the bathroom now so he basically has complete freedom whenever we are at home and sometimes when we are only gone for a little bit. i love that he uses his potty all the time. i get so proud of him when he goes into it and sits there for a little bit, then jumps out and has left me a big pile of poops and some pee. i know i shouldn't be that excited over something so little, it just makes me so proud!
this weekend and next week i'm going to the ascb meeting (american society for cell biology). it should be really interesting and fun. i have never been to a formal meeting like this. i'm looking forward to it. i just need to plan my schedule and look at all the information and try to figure out what sessions i want to go to and stuff. it should be lots of fun and very educational!
ok, time for me to get back to work.
oh! i forgot. i got a holiday bush last saturday and we saw lauren and kathy on saturday night and sunday morning. what fun!
