so we are in london again...as you can tell by the shit keyboard.
we got on a very full flight and thank goodness managed to get seats on the side of the plane rather than in a row with other people so that was nice...
remind us to tell you the story of the little monkey lady and her daughter (aka the people who sat in back of us on the plane... they were a treat from hell :)
we arrived in london at about 11 GMT and 6 of us spent an hour in a 5 passenger car. one guess which two got to share the one seat in the back with the luggage?
anyhow... we got here... e's parents payed 3 times our rent next year for a typical london hotel catering to americans...
this means there were super big towels (not a regular thing here) more than 4 tv channels (also not typical) and hot water with water pressure (absolutely unheard of)
so that was good but you can tell they are still a little dissapointed by it... one way you can tell is that they made david and his friend switch rooms with them already...
highlights so far:
1- only one barfing guy on the tube so far!! i think e's parents are starting to wonder why we love this city so very much.
2-typical 3:30 wake up due to jet lag.... anyone who can tell us why the body only gives you one sleep cycle after changing time zones wins a prize!!
3-e's mom's breakfast quiz (*how many calories do you think i burned yesterday?*) the sad thing is that this is not a retorical question because she has a stepper thing that tells her how many and we are really supposed to guess... and her dream about being sherlock holmes... (quite a few znameroski's wet their drawers hearing this story)
4-breakfast... not too good (yogurt even sucked and it is usually fantastic here)... on the other hand there was plenty of dripy meat and eggs worse than at scripps... guess those lost calories are no longer applicable huh mUm?
5-e's dad's comment which sums up our great great fear.... "if they hate the family this much in england, what are we going to do when we get to paris?!"
we sent them out for a tour of the city today so we will do errands and maybe take a nap although this is probably a bad idea.at least we are here... we smelled that tube air and felt at home... we'll go to our neighborhood today and get snacks and feel fantastic in no time....
