so things have been going pretty well... we have gotten to be on our own quite a bit and so have david and vuk. e's parents are behaving as well as can be expected and we have some new understandings about what they do and do not realize about themselves (like how very american they are and that not everyone thinks "i'm a big american" jokes are funny. we have only had to tell them to put a sock in it once or twice and made it stick by informing them that the people they offended happened to point out in a crowded lift that the two of them are american and that americans carry a lot of money. anyhow, they were way quite after that.)but this gives us little faith about paris, where even we know NOTHING. cross your fingers... Needless to say, we may need a vacation when we return from this vacation.
