life in general these days is either super busy or super boring.
f just finished of ocip (on campus recruiting) so she had 2-3 interviews everyday with firms for a possible summer job. yes, it is only September and they are already interviewing for jobs for next summer. weird, huh? for some reason the firms like to have things set up early! we have to wait for a few weeks to know what will happen with the interviews/firms, but if she is meant to do that this summer one of those will work out, and if not then it's obvious that it just wasn't meant to be. she's a little nervous and not sure if she is really cut out for the pressure of a big firm, but i think it would be good for her to at least have the experience of going through the high pressure recruiting and maybe three months of firm experience. we'll see.
So now we are in MN at the Lavender Law conference and to see the rents. While we’ve been here (for 4 days only):
1. we’ve gone to either chemo or for hydration every day
2. tried to see a movie but….a tree fell on the house (yes literally)
3. f got a MN call back and had to change flights out because she meets with the firm for 4 hours on Monday
4. we saw Chenny at Dayton’s (she must have some weird radar because this is the second time she has found us in a crowd of over 80,000 people)
5. we bought a zillion movies because MN people don’t like the films that we do and so they were all on sale (come watch DVDs) and also got a million relaxation CDs on the computer
6. f got a new wardrobe from Mom Z’s closet (no buying suits!!)
7. we almost got another bun bun
8. we went to the mega target, caribou, patina, caribou, the malt shop, caribou, cheesecake factory, caribou, Byerly’s, caribou
so today we are off for more adventure and maybe a butter burger.
