what to say today.
life has just been really boring lately and i don't have anything exciting to add. i guess that's the way it is sometimes, huh?
we saw lauren this weekend and had fun spending time with her, catching up and stuff. we watched capturing the friedmans. it was not an upper movie, but it was pretty good anyway.
oh, i guess i have big news. f is now 24! jeez, she's old! her birthday was on friday so we went to dinner at todai with her mom. i'm not a huge fan or todai, but she enjoyed it so that's all that really matters! i got her a few cd's, a ipod voice recorder and the first season of father ted on dvd. if you haven't seen this show produced by the bbc, i highly recommend it. we think it is hilarious! it's about these three priests who were sent to a remote island off the coast of ireland because they were each involved in some scandal and the bishop (or whatever) wants to just git rid of them. of course life could never be boring on craggy island. you can check it out for your self at http://www.fathertedonline.ukf.net/
work is super exciting today. actually, it's not, but it's not too boring either. i' m just doing stuff and hoping it works and then hoping the next step works and so on an so forth. but, we'll all just have to wait and see! i have mastered the pcr problem now, so i am very happy about that, now i just have to master the ligations and transformations, but they seem to be working ok so i guess there really doesn't seem to be a current problem.
i'm reading the second book in the native tongue series, the judas rose, right now. it's a nm book and i am enjoying it quite a bit. ever since slow river, i have yet to find a book she recommends that i do not enjoy. i also have a science-y book that i want to read, but i have to make myself finish this one first! i hate it when i have two books i am reading at once. i don't know why, but it just bothers me.
we also went to the army surplus store to get costumes for the thin pink line, a fundraiser for a queer law thing (you don't really need anymore info than that!). we both got these really great hats that just look fabulous on us. they aren't the same hat, but each of ours separately looks great. i'm excited for this event, i think it will be a good time.
anyway, that's about it for today i think. we get our haircut next weekend, yay! it's getting way too long.
