we are back in california. the weather is much warmer here than it was in mn and we only look a little strange wearing sandals in the santa cruz winter. the drive was quite uneventful, but long... we took pictures and they will be up at some point. now we just have to unpack again.
it is so hard living in a small room without any space! i felt like our room was full before we even started unpacking all of our clothes and things we had with us. now, it is just stuffed to the seams. How long can two people live with one small closet, one dresser, and a very small basement-like storage area? i am really looking forward to this fall when we will get our own apartment. Wherever that is, i don't really care right now, we are both just excited to have a little more space for our stuff. After all, it has been like this for more than 4 years now.
we need to get another bookshelf, although i know we don't have any room for it! we already have three full bookshelves and the books we got for the holidays have no place to go. *sigh* yet another reason for an apartment.
yesterday we went to Cabrillo (the community college) to get our library cards and pay our student fees. i can't believe they are making us pay for student health services when we are only taking yoga! how crazy is that? i guess, i better find a way to use the services. maybe i'll have to develop a cold or something! :) i'm looking forward to yoga this spring as well as using the library to study. i'm not sure i'm excited about the mcat in april, but it doesn't really mean that much! if i don't do well, who cares! i don't need to go to med school unless i want to, but on the other hand, maybe I want to. and if i finish the mcat, i get to go back to Europe.
ooohh...law school update. last application in the mail yesterday to ucla. please like f, she would be great in law school! all of the schools except ucla (they have to get the app first) and nyu have requested her lsac report which means they all care enough to actually LOOK. Seattle U called a couple of days ago to say she should have their decision by march 1st. things are moving fast and while we are both nervous for their decisions and then ours, i think we are both very excited and ready to go wherever we have to. It will be nice to have a routine of regular life again even if that life comes with a lot of new pressures!!
